"Go back." Lightning said, ignoring Dante's look. The summon shook its head. It had to protect her. She held out her hand and reopened the summoning portal and forced Odin back where he came from. Lightning got back to her feet when he was gone. She turned to face Dante. "We can't let that thing get away. It'll come back to town or it'll attack another town." she said. She started to walk down the path that the demon had taken.

Dante looks at her "It's my job to kill demons anyway. Besides, makes me sick of them huring innocents" he says. He looks at the demon as he spins his sword "Hit him high or hit him low?"

"Hit it hard," Lightning said, ignoring either of his suggestions. She took a deep breath and readied her sword once again. She held out her hand and a bolt of lightning struck the demon across the shoulder.

The demon roars as he looks over at Lightning. He raises a hand to swat her, but the arm veers off course "Hey bastard, you still got me" Dante jokes as he cuts into the demon's arm. From it's fiery fur, weird small demons come out and try to rush at Lightning and Dante.

Lightning spun on her heel, kicking another small demon in the face. She ran as fast as she could, climbing up as she went until she was finally level with the demon's face. She growled and swung her blade across the demon's face.

It howls loudly from the cut as it goes to swat at Lightning. It's arm explodes in a flurry of purple as it staggers a bit "Hey don't forget about me" Dante says as he hops up to Lightning's level before firing into the demon's eye.

"Why won't it die already?" Lightning groused as she stabbed her sword clean through its leg.

"It's a stubborn bastard that's what!" Dante yells as it tries to claw at them. He looks over at Lightning "Let's try lobbing the head off!" he yells as he starts to slice at the back of the neck.

Lightning nodded. She pushed off the hood of a car and swung her blade into the front of the creature's neck. Blood splashed against her.

Dante starts to swing faster as he goes through the back of its neck. Before long the creature falls over as Dante slides off its back "Well... this was definitely different" he says.

Lightning glanced over at the severed head of the demon. "It's unlike any creature I've seen." Lightning said.

He nods "Possibly from my hell then. Damn things pop up like weeds. Damn hell portals" he says

Lightning rolled her eyes and her clothes changed back to her normal street attire. She put her gun in its holster behind her back. "And you're trying to tell me that its a demon?" she asked.

Dante nods "Well a normal mid level demon. Those things on it were low level, but I got to admit, your pretty damn tough when it comes to a fight" he said as he sees the demon start to dissolve.

"It had multiple friends before you showed up." Lightning replied coolly. She folded her arms across her chest and looked up at him rather unimpressed. "Now of that's all I think I'll be leaving."
