"Thank you," she said, with a voice brimming with emotion. Who knew that picking up a John had ended up saving her from the horrible life she had led? She would never be able to thank Kane enough, either verbally or through her actions. He believed in her when no one else believed in her.

He nods as he smiles. He walked over and patted her shoulder "You are a good child at heart." he said as he smiled at her.

"Child? I'm a fable as old as my story." Faith said. She might have looked young but she was much, much older than she appeared. She had just given up hope that things would change.

"I know, yet you needed to be lead towards the right path" he said with a smile. He turned "Shall we take a stroll?" he asks.

Faith nodded quietly. She gestured for him to lead the way. She didn't know the camp. "And where will we go?" she asked.

"Anywhere really" he said as he smiled and started to walk. Mainly they went towards a small park that he had that was supported on one of the mighty grove branches.

Faith nodded quietly and followed him along. She silently looked at the man at her side in between surveying their surroundings. He had done so much with the grove, and yet... She knew next to nothing about him as a person. He was quite charismatic and had no problem swaying people to his side. He gave them what they wanted and they were more than willing to die for him. "So... tell me about yourself," she requested.

He looked at her and nodded "All I can really say is this. These people look up to me and see me as a messiah. Many associate me with the biblical figure of Cain, the oldest son of Adam and Eve, but also the first murderer of the human species. Others say I came down during the Cold War to assist Stalin in ruling the world. However they perceive me is their own notion. All that I will truly let them know of though, is that I am here to lead them." he informed.

"I meant about you personally." she said. "I can tell all of that myself. But I don't know anything about what makes you, you." She could see how people all but worshiped this man. It could be a good thing. It could be a bad thing. He could have been leading them all along to his little tune of self improvement but she found she trusted him.

He smiles "I always keep things about myself, to myself, since many could use it against me or to spin the image off as a villain. Just know I got many of my leading skills from Russia, like to help the broken and downtrodden, and live to protect"

"You certainly aren't very personable but how are you so charismatic then?" Faith found herself asking. So he wasn't a very social man. He had no problem making his own followers.

He nods "I suppose you could say that. Or perhaps there are things about me I rather not anyone know" he said as he stopped to view the homes of the civilians.

"It's just hard to believe any person could be this selfless..." She replied, "So unless someone sees you bleed, they might start likening you to a god." She paused and looked over the homes with him. These little humans, gone in a blink of the eye for her, but still so very important for her survival.

He nods "And many presumed me dead from a missile strike..... however. I survived. We survived" he said referring to Nod "And each time we returned, we struck back at GDI. Hard. We made them believe in the fabled tale of the 'Mark of Cain', a mark bestowed on the son called Cain that whoever is to kill him, would feel that pain reflected on them, sevenfold" he said as if he memorized it.

"It sounds to me like you need to relax," Faith said. He was always so serious whenever she saw him. While yes, they weren't talking sunshine and daisies, the man was constantly on guard, constantly putting others ahead of himself.
