"My story isn't fit for children." She said. It was that her lustful father attempted to marry her and she wore the skin of his prize donkey to hide in the kitchen as a scullry maid. She was then whisked away by a prince who later killed himself.

He looked at her "Not that story Faith" he said. He took the book he gave her "Your story" he said referring to her being a author of her own story.

Faith looked down at the book. "I don't know. I haven't even written it." she said. But she looked out at the kids. She took a deep breath. She could at least tell the kids a filtered story of how she met their leader.

Faith took a deep breath and looked down at the children who were anticipating stories. She hesitantly stepped forward. She began to talk, about how she met Kane, giving an abridged version that did not paint her in a bad light.

As she spoke, the children listened, all eyes glimmering of the tale she told. All the acts he did to help her, all the ways he tried to help her and even of how she first came to the base, even of the girl she met who smiled at her.
