Alanna scowled and settled for kicking the gun away from reach, deciding that it would be far more dangerous in her ignorant hands than on the ground. The man who'd been holding it before regained his breath and stumbled toward the gun, one hand still pressed against his gut. Alanna stepped in front of him, Lightning at the ready. "Go ahead, go for it," she suggested pleasantly. "I haven't yet felt properly satisfied with my revenge on you all." She summoned a ball of purple fire in her free hand, preparing to do whatever necessary and a little more eager than perhaps she should have been.

Isabela swiftly knock her attacker unconscious with the butt of her dagger, before whipping around and slamming her knee deep into another man's gut, before pausing briefly to notice the strange color of Alanna's magic. She grinned at the thought of fighting beside a mage once more and renewed her efforts in taking down the two remaining men.

"You look a little cold," Alanna said smoothly. "I've got something nice and warm right here if you want some." "You stupid bitch," he hissed. "I'll fucking kill you." Alanna glowered, her temper flaring. She stepped forward with her sword at his throat. "Give me one good reason not to run you through," she demanded, echoing what she'd said to Isabela earlier unconsciously. "You're not a killer," he answered. "I can see it in your freakish fucking eyes." "No," she agreed, even though he was dead wrong. She thought of Roger, of the first few men she'd killed in her first battle. "I think she might be, though," Alanna commented, nodding to Isabela and feeling cold with anger.

Isabela sliced through the last man who'd tried to pull a knife on her and approached the leader from behind, "Mmm, I'm one of those girls who 'likes it rough'," she agreed as her dagger found its place at his neck, "And my type of 'fun' happens to include your blood on my blade," she whispered maliciously in his ear as she dragged her dagger slowly across his neck, drawing a thin line of blood, "And a slow death at my hands."

"We aren't cats, Isabela," Alanna chided. "We do not play with food before we kill it." Normally Alanna would have balked at the thought of killing an unarmed man, but her skin was still warm from unwanted advances and soon she was sure the adrenaline would leave her system and the fear would take its place. She was angry.

Isabela smirked, her grin dark, "Perhaps she doesn't," she purred in the man's ear. Before slitting his throat and watching him fall in open disgust. "It would have served him right."

"Probably," Alanna agreed, "but I don't have the stomach for it." Alanna's hands began to shake, customary after-fight jitters. She gritted her teeth and place Lightning back in its sheath. "Wish I'd done more sword work," Alanna confessed, nodding to the bodies on the ground and noting that none were victims of her Lightning.

Isabela shrugged, wiping her blades clean, "Don't worry about it," she said quietly. She grinned as she sheathed her daggers, "They weren't too difficult once we rid them of their gun."

"So, how does that work, exactly?" Alanna asked, walking over to where she'd kicked the gun earlier. She picked it up gingerly and handed it butt first to Isabela. "Probably a good idea not to let me hold it until I know," she laughed nervously.

Isabela took the gun, very carefully, from Alanna, as the safety was off, "You pull the trigger, careful this'll be rather loud," she warned as she aimed at the back of the alley and fired, "And that's it. You can go see the bullet buried in the wall if you like."

Alanna frowned. "I would like," she agreed, walking to the edge of the alley. She ran her fingers over the bricks, amazed at the so called bullet and how wedged it was. "Glad we got it away from them, then," she started as she walked back to where Isabela was waiting. Alanna thought for a moment before deciding. "Also, I want one."

Isabela chuckled, "I'll see what I can find for you," she said as she turned the safety back on and handed the gun to Alanna, "You can keep this one for now, if you want. It still has five bullets within it."

Alanna frowned. "I can't accept this. I mean, I don't... I haven't earned it yet. I haven't done anything worth while here."

Isabela raised a brow and looked at the bodies sprawled around her, "You helped defend a woman from being mugged, I'd say you've done plenty to earn this."

"I helped defend two women," Alanna said softly, laying a palm on her chest. She let out a breath of air to stabilize herself. "Alright, I'll take it. Is there somewhere I can practice with this?"
