Alanna let out a relieved breath and smiled thankfully. "Good. I'm not sure how I'd handle that." She found herself putting her hand on Lightening's hilt again. "I'm not too fond of being forced to do anything." Now that she had some room to move again, Alanna and stretched and glanced around at her surroundings before looking back at her companion. "I'm Alanna," she announced, holding her hand out. "Kings Champion and Knight of Tortall." She frowned. "Not that it matters here," she admitted with a sheepish smile.

Isabela raised a bemused brow before taking her hand, and kissing Alanna's knuckles with a smirk, "Pleasure to meet you, sweet thing. I'm Isabela, a mere lowly pirate captain," she commented wryly.

"The pleasure's mine," Alanna quipped, grinning. "You're quite a flirt, did anyone ever tell you that?" Without waiting for an answer, Alanna continued. "Does this mean I don't have to kiss you to figure out what's going on?"

Isabela laughed and shook her head, "I'd certainly enjoy it if you did, but you didn't seem too thrilled about the prospect... and yes, I do believe I have been called a flirt at some point in my life," she teased.

Isabela eyed the jewelry in interest before nodding, "Of course, I promised you I would," she agreed as she led them out of the alley way and the Baker Street Apartments across the street, "This is where most of the people stay," she explained. "I rent a hotel room out a couple of blocks away, as I've never stayed here long enough to need an actual residence."

Isabela grinned, "I spend most of my time in bars and the strip club a few blocks away," she said as she led Alanna past the Arcade, "But this is where some of the kids around here hang out... just don't play on the machine called the Street Fighter..."

Alanna raised her eyebrow but chose not to comment on Isabela's choice of passtimes. "Street Fighter?" she asked, eyebrow still cocked.

(Sorry, I was too exhausted to quite figure out what to say, oops!)
Alanna laughed. "Why am I not surprised to discover everything with you somehow comes back to sex?" She shook her head and shifted from foot to foot, thinking. "How does one find employment here? I'm not sure I'm good for much other than defending the King's honor and what not," she confessed, motioning to her sword and golden armor.

Isabela chuckled at the sex comment, "Oh I'm sure you could find a few who would pay you well to 'defend their honor'," she teased, "But you could also start a class and teach people how to sword fight, or join me and my crew as we plunder and pillage the country side."

Alanna raised an eyebrow again, a light smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "I think you well know I'm not much of the plunder and pillage type, unless you swear to only pillage the bad guys," she teased. "I suppose I could start a class... I've taught sword fighting before, even with the scandal of my gender." Alanna frowned, musing. "I'm not sure people would pay to be taught by someone without a reputation, though."
