When Ayato heard his questions, he answered, "Well, I'm a newcomer to Greenbriar and I will be staying for a couple of days. Also, a young woman named Esmerelda told me about this place sir."

Ayato smiled and gave the clerk the twenty dollars. "Why thank you sir." He thanked and took the key to his room. He felt a little better that Greenbrier might not be so bad.

Ayato looked around the room and he thought about what Esmerelda mentioned about the simple room that she and Squall were sharing in her apartment. "Ah..so..this is what she was talking about when it came to simple rooms." He thought to himself and sat on the bed. After getting himself settled in, Ayato then took out his sketching pad to sketch some scenery from the window.

At his hotel, Ayato drew a picture of Esme since she was nice to him so far and for being sympathetic about his friend's death. "She seems nice..." He thought to himself with a small smile.

When Ayato got finished with his drawing of Esmerelda, he looked at it quickly and noticed little errors. "Hm... better fix the nose a tiny bit..." He thought to himself and fixed the drawing the best he could.

Ayato, feeling the cozy atmosphere taking over him, he then fell asleep for the night. He hoped him and Esme would start a beautiful friendship and make it last forever.
