Edward smiles "Perhaps gambling? Perhaps you will get more money" he says.

Esmeralda shook her head, "No way in hell, I worked way too damn hard for that money, merely to lose it."

Edward chuckles "What? We're naked so you know I can't cheat" he says.

She looks at him with a smirk now crossing her face, "Oh? So you gamble naked?... Very well. I consent to stealing your money."

"Oh? Now that I agree to it, you back out? Are you secretly a terrible gambler?" she asks with a grin.

She taps her chin as if in deep thought, "Hmmm, we could drink and share stories too, I suppose. That way you could save some face and not lose your money so quickly."

Edward chuckles "Ha ha" he says. He gets out of bed and grabs a bottle of rum and two cups as he pours a cup for her and him.

She downs the glass in one shot before pouring herself another, "Now, what stories do you want to know?"

She nods and takes another swig of alcohol before starting, "Alright, I am a Rromani from Paris, France. I grew up with my caretaker and good friend, Clopin. He always watched out for me, and he's the one who taught me how to fight," Her eyes soften at the memory of her dear friend, "He's one of the sweetest and kindest men you'll ever meet... or at least he is to me. He's a rather well-known cut-throat after all. I suppose he can be quite brutal in terms of other people, but then again, he has to be to be able to protect us from the Parisians. Anyway, he and I used to perform together all the time and once when five guards came by, we both took them all out together. It must have been my first real fight, at least, it's the first I remember, but afterwords we both went out drinking and got so plastered we ended up passed out in the street... I don't think I've ever had as much fun with anyone as I did at his side. We were quite the pair..." She shook herself of her memories and looked up at him with a grin, "Now, it's your turn."

Edward swallows "French? Um, French people are not really liked amongst pirates along with Brits and Spainards" he says. He leans back "I grew up in the Wales, a part of the British region. I got married to a marchant's daughter and liked me for who I am and not the funds, but I wanted more. I wanted to get my own privateer empire and well became a privateer. First day on the job we are in a storm and our captain gets killed by an assassin. This assassin then tries to kill me on a island and I kill him. Later I get arrested and sent on a slave ship where Ilberated some pirates and here we are" he says.

She looked up at him with a twisted grin, "Well, being hated for my background certainly isn't a new experience, I think I'll be able to handle it." She took another drink as she looked over at him, "So you become an assassin by murdering an assassin... that's just poetic."

"Well the assassin was just about to betray his people to some Templars so it worked" Edward says.
