Edward was once a British privateer, but turned into a privateer/pirate when he wanted fame and fortune, but also became a member of a Assassin order. With all this as a assassin and a pirate, it is his way of dispensing justice like killing a rouge who steals from poor or corrupt people.
His biggest weakness is he likes money and fame, whether infamous or famous.
He is quite cocky when faced with overwhelming numbers, but trusts his crew overall. He also cannot say no to certain females.
He is quite skilled with swords and has been known as a captain who carried at least four flintlock pistols with him and a chain to drag people in. He is also a very skilled captain of his warship called the Jackdaw.
Him and his crew came through a portal thinking it was part of for a grand treasure. He sees the new world and knows in some dark corners their is a politician or someone corrupt.
