Chance Meeting (Tag: Squall) (Mature)

Esmeralda got behind him and gently laid her hand over the one rubbing his shoulder, "What do you want, Squall?"

Esmeralda nodded as her expression fell, "You're right. Where should we start though? I've been searching for a long time, Squall."

Esmeralda shook her head, "I've been through so many, I can barely remember them all. I started at the south side of town and made my way, pretty systematically north, though I'm sure I've missed a few."

Esmeralda shrugged, "Why not start in the East?"

Esmeralda picked up the two swords she'd stolen from a house full of cannibals and sheathed them. She'd originally used her knives, but that allowed the zombies far too close for comfort. So, though she was much less skilled with the two katanas, she greatly preferred the fighting distance. "These have worked well enough so far." She still had a few knives hidden on her just in case, but she used them much less often now.

Esmeralda nodded as she took the gun, "Thanks. I suppose we'll see if any of my practicing paid off."
