The Fountain

Elsa strolled slowly and aimlessly around her new home, eventually coming upon a beautifully quaint little park in the center of town. "Greenbriar Park" she read slowly, looking at the large plaque that served as an entry way into the small park. She walked along the side walk and admired the beautiful pink flowers that seemed like they were planted just yesterday. Soon she came upon a large fountain that served as a centerpiece for the park. She reached her hand down slowly, cautiously, to the water resting in the fountain's basin and toughed it. To her relief it did not freeze. She smiled and let out a huge sigh full of relief and begun to swoosh the water between her fingers. A moment later she caught something in the corner of her eye and glanced over. It seemed to be a young girl with midnight black hair. She was sitting on the other side of the huge fountain with her back turned to Elsa and had not noticed the new person's presence. As soon as Elsa laid eyes on the girl she too turned her head around and spotted Elsa immediately "O-oh... Hello" Elsa said with a week yet sincere smile.

"Umm..." Elsa trailed off, looking for the answer to such a simple question. She was not used to small talk. "I-is anyone really from here? I have never met anyone from here... it is odd, isn't it? It almost feels like this place was made just for us..." Elsa trailed off yet again, feeling worried that this place was to good to be true "Oh!" She perked up finally "Where are you from? What I mean is, are you from here? I should have asked that before going off on my tangent..."

"I see" Elsa said, suddenly feeling embarrassed for prying "Sorry I didn't mean to upset you. I apologize." She said, regaining her introvert-like composure

Elsa smiled at the girl and said "Hello Melody, I am Elsa. It is a pleasure to meet you"

Elsa glanced down at the girl's small frame and frowned slightly "You definitely look like you could use a bite to eat... I think I saw some sort of diner just down the road if you would like to accompany me."

Elsa smiled again and gestured for the girl to follow her and turned around, walking towards the exit of the park "So..." she said cautiously "how long have you been here?"

Elsa thought back to when she first go here. Estimating the time she said "about a day... maybe two.." she and another strange girl were the first to arrive to this place... it was so quiet and lonely, much like home. She was glad to see more people coming and filling the silence.
