Esmeralda faked a reassuring smile and nodded in agreement while not meeting Padme's eyes, "Yeah, I'm sure they are." She took another swig of rum and changed the subject, "What's it like on your planet? I imagine it's vastly different than mine."

"It's very green", she replied. "The main city, Theed, is very beautiful. But my favorite part is the lakefront," she said with a smile. "I remember when I was a kid, we would swim out to a small island and lay in the sand, letting the breeze dry us off and guessing the names of the birds we heard..." She smiled, remembering.
"How about you?" She asked. "What is the planet of Paris France like?"

Esmeralda snorted and tried not to cough up her rum, "Sorry, sorry, Paris, France is a city on my planet, not the actual planet itself." She smiled as she collected herself, "And Paris is beautiful, with the sun shining down on the River Seine and the large cathedral in the center of the city. There's a gorgeous stained glass window in the cathedral and when the light shines through it, it's like seeing something made directly from the hands of God." Esmeralda decided to leave out the back alleys stinking of sewage and how her people had to make their homes in the catacombs under the city for fear of persecution. "It's such a pretty place." She smiled, "I wish you could see it sometime."

Whiterose listened intently learning all about the people who surrounded her. She wasn't sure what she thought of the man but she was beginning to think that the women would be good for her...much like Asellus had been. She took a drink of water and decided that she could trust these women. She decided that if they asked her about her past then she would reveal it. "Your home planet sounds beautiful Miss Padme. As does yours Esmeralda."

Padme looked over at the other woman and nodded in agreement. She wasn't used to people addressing her as "miss". It was sort of nice. Already she felt the pressures of ruling lift from her shoulders, like she could be a girl again.
"What's your name?" She asked the stranger.

Whiterose took a deep breath before speaking, "i come from a place called facinaturu. I was one of the lord's mistresses though the people of rootville called us princesses. Lord Orlouge kept most of us in a deep slumber unless he wanted us. I was woken to teach a human girl the ropes of being a princess. We escaped the Chateau and ran but he caught us in a trap. I stayed behind so that she could escape. I was brought back and put back to sleep. When I awoke again I was told that we were all free for Asellus had beaten Orlouge. She returned to her family but i have spent my time tryin to find her again to thank her for her kindness and for freeing us all."

Esmeralda winced, "My god, that's awful." While Esmeralda had been "searched for weapons" more times than she could count, she'd never had to deal with actual rape, though many of her sisters had, "I can't even imagine. Do you have any idea where this Asellus woman might be?"

Padme's eyes opened in shock. Forcing yourself sexually on someone in Naboo was punishable by death (a rule she had voted in favor of her first year as Queen, nearly four years ago).

Whiterose shook her head sadly. "I went back to her family hone but i was told that she had moved away years before. You have to understand time moved differently in fasanturu. What seemed like only hours to Asellus had been 12 years when she first arrived. I have no idea if she is even alive."

Padme understood. Time was different with some alien species she had met. Some lived for eons, while others only lasted at most a decade.
"And if she is still alive, there's an even smaller chance that she is here..."

Esmeralda had no idea what the whole time thing meant, but she didn't think this was the appropriate time to ask. "After you find her do you have any plans?"
