Esmeralda looked up at him ruefully, "I wish it were merely that simple." She thought back to her people, with Loki they'd have a chance at a life they'd never be able to even hope for. It seemed nothing would improve for her people with Odin in power, yet there was something reassuring in the fact that nothing would worsen with him in power either, as he seemed to ignore the world. She knew the decision she made here would impact thousands, perhaps millions of lives, and she didn't want to be responsible for installing a tyrant on an unknown throne. "If Odin stays in power, at least I'm reassured he won't make mortal affairs worse. I have no such insurance from you."

Loki sighs "That is right, but here" he says. He shows a dagger and cuts his cheek as it doesn't heal quickly "A dagger forged by the Dwarven people to kill me as a last resort. I stole it from their armory a month ago. I know I am taking a long shot, but keep it and if I do not go through on my word you may stab me" he says. He hands a small horn "And this to call me" he says.

Esmeralda stared in wonder at the items given to her and closely examined the Dwarven blade, "You would entrust me with this?" she asked as she gently cut her finger on the tip to see just how sharp it was. All of a sudden his promises for her people seemed to swim before her eyes, and she could almost see the joy on their faces, her voice shook slightly as she clenched her fist, "My people will finally..." her voice trailed off as a tear slipped down her cheek.

Esmeralda shook herself and wiped the tears from her face. Her eyes hardened as she nodded, "Very well, I will help you. But know this, if you step one foot out of line, I will not hesitate to kill you."

Esmeralda laughed, "Fine by me." She shuddered as she remembered Frollo sniffing her hair, his filthy hands caressing her neck and his hard-on pressing into her back, "Fenrir has my full blessing."

She responds quietly, but she doesn't think she can ever rid herself of Frollo's taint, no matter how many men she sleeps with. She has certainly tried. She's washed her skin till it bled, and she still can't rid herself of the feel of him pressed against her. She falls willingly against Loki, setting the knife and horn down on the bathroom counter.

Loki brings her in the bath as he starts it. He helps to wash her skin as he helps to feel the taint of that judge come off her, even if it's only for today.

Esmeralda smiles at the soothing feeling of Loki washing her skin, her memories fading for now as she passively let Loki bathe her and relaxes against him.
