The tomboy, Peppermint Patty saw this new park and took a look around. She noticed that the grass is very green and thought it would be a good opportunity to play sports again. "Perfect place...." She thought to herself with a smile. So, to kill her boredom, she took out her soccer ball and kicked it around the park.

Nearby in a tree, a man was laying asleep in it as he found it a peaceful place for such. He heard small noises as he looked over to see someone else in the park as he yawns and sits up. He hears a creaking sound as he forgot the branch wasn't all that big for him plus a ball and chain. It snaps as he falls to the ground as he groans "Well... glad I'm immortal" he thinks.

Hearing someone near a tree, Peppermint Patty went over to the man who does have a lot of muscles. She thought he could play with her or be a coach for a baseball team. So, she went up to the man with the soccer ball and asked , "Hey, want to kick the ball around with me?"

He stands up as he looks at her. He kept one eye closed as he looks at her "If we did, the ball might go flying" he warns. He had the usual attire on and the ball and chain as it shook a bit.

Peppermint Patty noticed the ball shaking and immediately took it back. "Sir, that was my ball... My only soccer ball. So, is there any sport you can do? I can do everything." She then had her finger against her chin thinking about all the sports she can do. "I played baseball, kick ball, ran marathons, soccer , basketball, just name it." She said and gave him a small nudge against his shoulder. She felt his muscles. "Dang sir, you work out. I'm Peppermint Patty, and you are?" She asked as she took her arm out.

He grins "It's been so long I forgot my own name. Just call me Free" he says. He looks at her quizzically "Sports? Well I can run faster then many people" he says.

Peppermint Patty didn't want to chuckle about this man since she did know some adults that forgot their own name as well. "Oh ok...Free then." She replied. Once she heard that he can run faster than anyone, she gave him a smirk and a wink. "You can run faster than anyone? Please... I run one-hundred miles every morning.... So, we'll see." She was up for a competition. She also heard that the guy never heard of sports. "You never played sports but you can run faster than anyone else... I guess I assume the only sport you ever played was just track." She commented with a bit of shock in her voice. She was not having a clue if this man could lose like Charlie Brown in baseball.. even if she could teach him a simple way to play baseball...

He grins "But that depends on one thing Peppermint. Want to race the man or the beast?" he asks. He looks over "Alright... whoever reaches the large tower first wins" he says.

Peppermint grinned at the guy and winked at him. "You're on!" She said and got a head start by running.

He looks over as he smirks. He takes a few steps was on a full on sprint as he already passed her and had a great lead on her. He chuckles as he sees a train coming to block the path as he jumps right on over it with ease. He stops as he waits for it to pass so she can run.

Starfire lay down in a field of sunflowers smiling as she looked up at the sky. She hummed to herself as she looked up at it. Her long hair sprawled all out on the ground.

She did not get distracted by the red haired girl. Looking at her briefly reminded her of the little red haired girl Charlie had a crush on, but instead of getting angry about the past , she wanted to concentrate on the race. So, when she saw the guy go over the train, she found a way around it and ran to catch up. " See, I can think of some strategies."

Starfire heard feet running so she sat up and straighten her hair up. She looked to see a girl and boy racing each other. She smiled clapping her hands watching them. "Oh that looks so much fun." She smiled crossing her legs and watched them.

Free grins "Just hope you can keep up" he says. He soon takes off as he was definitely fast as if that ball wasn't even slowing him down a bit. He keeps running as he was faster then Peppermint as he laughs "What's the matter? Can't keep up?" he asks.

Peppermint Patty grinds her teeth and sweated as she caught up with him and ran past him. "See you at the finish line!" She called out with a small chuckle. "Can't catch up...yeah right" she thought to herself as she found a tree that could be a finish line...
