Elizabeth made a face. You couldn't blame a girl for trying. She would just have to reinforce that no, she was not to be called that. Perhaps even refuse to respond? But that seemed rather childish. She shook her head. She then looked over at the little homes that were in the office. She thought it was sweet that they had little huts.

The spiders mostly stayed up at the top half of the office in web huts as the fur balls rolled around on the floor like little hedgehogs. On Strangers desk was that same massive 'surgery' book he had. Not many of the stuff in it was exposed, but from loose pictures, it could tell of something resulting in horn loss, hoof replacement, and even some kind of eye changing.

Elizabeth carefully stepped over the fur balls on the floor with a light smile. It was so hard for her to believe these were the same creatures that bit a man's hand or strung them up like a bagged hunting prize. She paused when she saw the book on Stranger's desk. It looked like something she had seen on Fink's lab desk or something that Suchong would have written up. She frowned. What would Stranger need with something like that?

"Wanna see?" one of those chipmunks asked as they bounced around the desk.

Elizabeth blinked in surprise. She nodded. "Okay," she confirmed. She wondered if she shouldn't go. Was this invasion of Stranger's privacy?

A whole group of them knocked it open as inside she could see it was full of surgery notes, and quite expensive ones. Horn removal, hoof replacement, vocal adjuster, it was as if Stranger was trying to be something, or someone, else.

Elizabeth frowned. That made no sense. Why would Stranger be looking into these things? He was just fine the way he was. Unless... He was forced to look the way he was by scientists...

Soon the door opened as there stood Stranger. He growled "Annoying furballs" he said kicking one of the munks as he looks at the book. He closed the book as he looked at her "Curios I take it?" he asked.

"S-Stranger!" Elizabeth gasped when she realized she had been caught. She looked rightfully scolded without him having to say a thing. Stranger had extended so much trust to her, a safe place to stay (not necessarily a home), a job, slight protection from her alternate selves and this was how she repaid him, by going through his personal belongings... "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been snooping through your things!"

He just grunts as if it was nothing "Damn furballs are annoying, but it can't be helped" he said as he removed the hat, showing the two horns on his head. He flips the book around "Only doc who could do my procedure got killed before I could get the money to pay him to get started" he explained.
(OOC: Sorry. Switched to Chrome and forgot about these.... also college been in the way)

Elizabeth shifted in her spot. Dead before the operation meant nothing to her. She could just go to the time before the doctor died. "And you really wanted to change? Why?" Elizabeth asked. She spent a fair bit of time in labs. Never again for her. She had been under the knife far too much for any lifetime.

He looks over "Everyone in my world is hunting my hide. Wanting to kill me as a trophy. Last of my kind makes me more.... rare to them" he said, as if all the heavy clothes and gear made more sense now.
