Faith sighed to herself. The week had been slow when it came to customers and she had just enough to get her a room at a dive hotel and a few things off the dollar menu. She wrapped her arms around herself as she waited for her food to come out.

Isabela rubbed her forehead and entered the fast food restaurant, tired and worn out. It had been a long week. She halted when she noticed Faith, and wondered if she should leave.

Faith sighed in relief when the cashier handed over her food. She took the paper bag in hand and turned, only to tense when she saw Isabela.

Isabela hesitated, she wanted to say something, but she couldn't quite bring herself to do it. She just stood there awkwardly, not quite realizing she was staring.

Faith quietly looked down. She clutched the bag in her hands a little closer and went to her table to eat.

Isabela sighed, what the hell had gotten into her? She was an adult. She could handle this. She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled before steeling herself and approaching Faith's table, "Look, I'm sorry for what I said before. I... I just- I was getting too... attached," she admitted quietly. "I got uncomfortable and cowardly and I shouldn't have allowed my problems to end up hurting you. I actually do hope to still remain friends with you, but only if that's alright with you. Just say the word and I'll leave and never bother you again," she assured her. She was honestly hoping Faith wouldn't demand she leave, but she would respect her wishes if it came to that.

Faith tried her best to smile up at her. "I... Could use some company." She said.

Isabela smiled awkwardly back at her and sat down across from her, "...Nice weather today, huh?" she asked quietly.

"Don't start with that!" Faith laughed weakly. "How have you been? You look like shit. No offense. And I'm not any better."

Isabela smiled, "Well, it has been a pretty shitty week," she admitted as she rested her elbows on the table and crossed her arms, "And you? How's it been?"

"Just about the same. Everything in my apartment... Well, let's just say Bigby's gotten me a new one." Faith said quietly. "And business hasn't been that great."

Isabela nodded in sympathy, "Sorry that had to happen," she said quietly as she sighed and leaned back, "Are you adjusting to the new place well?"

"As much as possible." Faith replied. She ran her hand over a neck where a new ribbon sat around her throat. She quietly looked down. She had taken more money from the Crooked Man due to the bad business and she was even deeper in debt than before just to have a taste of a normal life.

Isabela glanced at her choker, but didn't comment, "Well, I'd invite you back to my place, but something tells me you wouldn't take me up on my offer," she said with a soft but wry smile.

"I would but it's hardly professional, when did you get a place in town? I thought you weren't the settling down type." Faith pointed out.
