"If they die, they die. Nothing can change that" Death says as he starts to reach for her hand.

Keladry turned to him, "There must be some way to at least warn my people of this menace," she practically begged.

Keladry looked up at him, "What do you care about? Maybe we can work something out?"

Death looks at her "Someone wanting to make a deal with me? Quite a first, but you know the price will be grave" he says.

Keladry nodded, "Whatever you want," she answered seriously.

He looks at her "I will let you live, but in return. You must do my job for one day" he says.

Keladry nodded. Taking the lives of her own people, her friends and her comrades would be the hardest thing she'd ever do, but if she could save that many more from dying, she would do whatever she had to, "I understand," she replied.

He nods as he snaps his fingers and before they knew it, they were in a medical tent. Keladry was alive as a nurse comes in "On miss Keladry! So glad you are alive and well. The scouts found you in the woods and brought you back" she says as she removes the bandages. She stops "Huh? Your wounds are healed" she says.

Keladry raised a brow at being addressed as a "miss", it wasn't something she heard often as a Lady Knight. Keladry looked down at her chest and was surprised not to feel any pain. "Please, just call me Kel," she asked, not interested in being treated as a "delicate female", even by those of her own gender, as she sat up and looked around her trying to figure out her location.

"Your in the medical tent in the kingdom" she says. She goes to a table as a young squire enters with armor "Your armor" he says.

Keladry nodded and decided to figure out her location for herself later. "Thank you," she told him as she took her armor from him. She looked around for any sign of Death, and wondered if she had to start on their deal right away or if she had time to warn her king first.

The place was her kingdom as soldiers smiled with bandaged limbs and injuries as they are glad she is alive. Near the King's door to his courtroom stood the man in black she had met earlier.

She quickly warned a soldier about the killing machines attempting to invade their land and he promised to get the information to the King right away as he ran off. She turned to Death, satisfied that she had at least completed her mission, "Which day do you want me to do your job?"

"Today and right now. Only ten souls for you to reap" he says. He walks over as he takes off the ring as it drops into her hand as he vanishes.
