Keladry looked around her in confusion, not understanding how these robotic creatures had made it into her homeland. She fought them as hard as she could, but they just kept coming. She hadn't remembered seeing such creatures in Greenbriar, and it alarmed her just how many had already made it through. She had to warn King Jon. Maybe his magic could help defeat these creatures, though she wasn't sure even that would work.

On a rooftop, a man in a suit watches. He awaits as he can see people being destroyed left and right as all he does is collect the souls.

Keladry sliced through another machine, before turning and running to warn King Jon, as one of the more experienced knights took the lead. She leapt up onto Peachblossom's back and urged him into a charging gallop away from the fighting. She would slow him down once they left the battleground, after all, it was a few days from here to get to the castle and she couldn't risk running Peachblossom into the ground before she got there.

He sees someone start to leave as he checks his scroll. He looks back as with his power he makes dangers grow and try to kill the woman.

Keladry growled as she caught sight of spidrens out of the corner of her eye. Peachblossom gave a desperate heave and tried to outrun them, but the spidrens were much quicker and soon over took the two of them. Keladry hopped off of Peachblossom and held her glaive tightly, desperately wishing she had some blazebalm with her and cursing her bad luck. She hadn't heard any rumors of spidren in this forest though... She shook her head and stepped into a fighting stance, rapidly searching her surroundings for anything that would give her an advantage.

The man in black quickly moves to the forest as he sees the woman yet again. Internally he was disgusted at how hard these insects fight to live despite only to die in the end of meaningless life, yet externally he showed no such emotion as he watches and waits for this woman to die from these Spiderans as they charge.

Keladry hated the monstrous Immortals. The five foot tall spiders with human heads and sharp pointed teeth came at her together, and she dodged the first silky thread fired her way. The web was used to draw in their victims, and she refused to allow them a meal when she needed to get back to her King. She was grateful for her glaive being a longer range weapon than a sword. She sliced through the first spidren's leg and leapt to the side to dodge the other.

More kept coming as soon they surrounded the woman and start to fire more web at her. The web was being used to rip off her weapon and armor along with drag her in to be consumed. The man sees this as he gets closer, felling her mortal clock start to tick down it's seconds.

Keladry desperately struggled against the Immortals, but without her weapon, she was left virtually defenseless. She pulled her knife from her boot as a last ditch attempt and fiercely tried to free herself from their webbing to get away and make a run for it. As she finally cut herself free, she looked up in despair as she saw the creatures had fully surrounded her.

The creatures seem to wait as they looked at the woman. The man from a far pulls out a hourglass as he sees the last few grains start to fall as the creatures charge with weapons raised to dive them deep into her body.

Keladry tried her best to defend herself, but there were far too many for her to take on at once and she fell hard as a sword found its way through her chest and pierced her heart. She feebly struggled to breath, but gave one last breath before darkness overcame her and she knew no more.

As the creatures left the man stands over her and looks at her "Fighting until the end, as do all things" he says. His hand comes down as he touches her forehead to release her spirit to see herself before he escorts her to the afterlife.

Keladry woke up surprised to find that she could. She stared in shock at her dead body before her and looked around her in confusion, before she caught sight of Death, "Who are you? And why can I even speak right now?"

He looks over "You've reached the end of your line human" he says. He had the aura that only a graveyard could give, cold and desolate. He holds out a hourglass with her name on it and all the sand at the bottom "You.... are no longer of this world and I have been tasked with retrieving your spirit" he says.

Keladry looked down at her body and back up to Death, "But I have to warn the king, o-or send someone else to, otherwise they could all die!"
