"Depends on why we're fighting." Ace said.

Ursula shrugged, "Just for your life. If you want to stave off death for a while longer, you'll fight. If not... You'll be gone within the day." She honestly didn't care about whether these two lived or died, but if they could prove useful, she'd take them. "If you join me, you have a chance of living, if not... good luck," she said nonchalantly before turning and motioning for her men to follow her back to her headquarters. If they were smart they'd follow. If not, she didn't have the time to waste.

Ace shrugged. He adjusted his hat. "Well, I prefer living." he said.

Natalia nodded her silent agreement and followed after Ursula. At the very least they would then have time to figure out how this place worked. If they needed to get away later, she would at least have more knowledge about the layout than she did now.
Ursula grinned when she saw them coming behind her and quickly led them back to the center of her territory.

Ace frowned. He folded his arms over his chest. He didn't trust Ursula one bit.

Ursula casually introduced them to a few of the men who were with her before entering the room that had been given to her when she'd taken leadership over her territory. It was merely a bit less run down than the others. She waved her men away ignoring one's look of concern. She could more than handle these two. "The deal is simple, you fight for me, you get access to whatever room you're strong enough to keep others out of, food from the hydroponic gardens, and fresh water, which is a hell of a lot more than what I can say for some other parts of this ship. Cannibalism isn't unheard of in the other territories here," she explained as she sat down, facing them.
Natalia grimaced, "Where... or what exactly is 'here'?" she asked.
Ursula raised a brow, "This is Perdition, the prison where those too bad to rehabilitate are sent, or so the theory goes," she answered wryly. "Though you should know that... how did you two end up here?"

"Well I was just sleeping and I woke up here." Ace said.

Natalia sighed and warily gave Ursula a slow once-over, trying to gauge whether telling the truth would be wise or not, before she shrugged and decided to give it a try, "We were transported here from a different world by way of a magic portal," she explained somewhat clinically, "We're not here because of our criminal pasts. We just got here by chance a few minutes ago."
Ursula laughed heartily, before she paused and caught her breath, "That's one hell of a story," she said as she finally calmed down and studied them once more. The serious no bull-shit tone Natalia had used almost convinced her it might be true. Besides, every new fish came in with standard grey prison clothing, yet these two were very obviously different from everybody else there. "And if it's true... then you should be able to lead me back to this portal, right?"

"She might." Ace said gesturing to Natalia, "But like I said. I was sleeping. I literally had no clue this would happen." He flashed them both a dazzling smile. "But why do you want to get out of here?" he asked Ursula.

Ursula raised an incredulous brow, "You're kidding me right? You honestly can't think of any reason why I'd want to get out of this degenerate hellhole of a prison? We've all tried escaping from this place so many times, I've lost count. If I can get out of here..." She refused to get her hopes up when they could very well merely be delusional, "Anyway, short answer, everyone wants to get out of here."

"And why are you here?" Ace asked.

Ursula laughed and shook her head, "No one's interested in backstory here, boy," she answered blowing him off, "The only reason I asked for yours is because you two seemed a bit different and I thought it might provide some good entertainment, which it did." Ursula's history of betrayal at the hands of her own family wasn't something she often cared to share.
Natalia frowned at Ursula's callous dismissal of Ace's question, but remained quiet.

"Except I don't do nice things for people I don't know." Ace said. "For all I know you really do belong here. The last thing I want to do is unleash a mass murderer on Greenbriar. No offense."

Ursula smirked, "We're all mass murderers in here boy. It's kill or be killed, and I've killed so many men, I've lost count," she admitted bluntly.

"Hmm. That does put us in a bit of a situation." Ace said.
