Buffy watched as the vampire's body turned to dust, the head disappearing with it. "Well, thank you, Lightning," Buffy responded as she leaned against the wall for support. She was battered and bruised worse than she had been in a while. "I think I would have been in trouble if it weren't for you."

Buffy raised a brow and stood up a little straighter, "It's my job," she answered simply, "Besides, it's not like most people go around equipped and able to kill vampires."

Buffy laughed and nodded, "Besides, I'm also well equipped to deal with the blows they give out. I heal rather quickly, these bruises will be gone in a couple of days."

Buffy raised a brow, "I've actually already died once," she told Lightning with a grin, "Besides, let me buy you a drink? I'd like to thank you, if you'll let me," she asked.

Lightning headed inside after she cleaned the blood off her blade. She sheathed the weapon as not to scare the drunk patrons.

Buffy put away her stake and made for the bar once more, keeping a look out for any other suspicious characters, but seeing none. "What do you want?" she asked Lightning as she found two empty seats.

"Ale." Lightning said briskly. She tended not to allow herself to get close to others but it seemed it happened regardless.

Buffy nodded and ordered an ale and a rum and coke. She sat down and glanced at Lightning, "Are there vampires where you're from?" she asked in curiosity, as Lightning hadn't seemed at all phased by the creature.
