"And it's a problem for non-fables too..." Bigby said. "Because fables are damn hard to kill."

Isabela nodded, "Yeah, let's just hope your Toad friend isn't in as bad a shape..." she murmured, refusing to admit that Faith might be dead.

"Toad's probably fine." Bigby said as he stepped into the dump of an apartment complex. Except as he went to the room where Toad and his son Junior lived he growled. The lock on the door had been busted.

Isabela winced slightly at the sight of the broken lock, "I only hope you're right..."

Bigby pushed the door open. Toad was actually a real frog. He was dressed as a human and he was tending to his son - also a frog. Toad jumped when he saw the two of them. "Bout time you show up!" he snapped. "They hit me boy!"

Isabela took the fact that they were actually frogs in stride and glanced in concern at Toad's son, "Will he be alright?"

"He's bleedin' if that's what yer askin'." Toad snapped but then he frowned. "What's a human doin' here! Yer always gettin' on me for not wearin' me glamour!"
"Toad, she was close to Faith." Bigby said. "She's helping with the investigation."

Isabela merely stayed quiet and nodded, trying not to cause anymore trouble.

"Isabela, would you mind taking care of Junior?" Bigby asked. "I need to ask Toad a few questions."

"I can do that," she agreed quietly as she slowly approached Toad's son, hands open to show she meant no harm.

Junior hesitated but he looked up shyly at Isabela.
Bigby pulled Toad over to the side to quietly discuss what happened to avoid scaring Junior any more than he already was.

Isabela smiled warmly at the young frog and held out her hand, open palm facing up, "I'm Isabela," she introduced herself quietly.

"I-I'm Toad Junior." he said quietly.
From what Toad was telling him, Faith had been there that night, to see a John in the room that had been demolished, but a fight brokeout. Toad was about to call for help when someone else stepped in and fought Faith's attacker off - also dealing all of the property damage that they had seen before. But the last Toad saw of her Faith had been alive. She had accidentally left her donkey skinned cloak behind in the tussel.

Isabela smiled softly and talked with Toad Junior, while simultaneously trying not to appear as if she were eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Is that lady going to be okay?" Junior asked. "She was really nice... She even gave me a weevil for my bug collection."
Bigby got to his feet and Toad showed him to the Donkey Skinned Cloak. He sighed. It was hers. It had her scent all over it.
