It was Friday afternoon almost close at the night. Like a lonely person Jack was walking around, this time not causing troubles, just looking around.
But a sound came from a alley making the winter spirit want to look and find out.

In the alley, Esmeralda punched the man hard in the pit of his stomach, before flipping him onto his back. He and his two friends had followed her on her way home, wanting her to "play" with them. She swiftly kicked the man behind him in the head, knocking him unconscious before turning to face her third opponent, who was much larger than the other two.

Jack stoped in a roof, seeing how she was dealing with them, she was very good but maybe with the third one, it was going to be harder to deafeated him. "Hey you!" Jack screamed as he let him fall from the roof standing in front of Esmeralda. "Not a good way to treat a lady." Jack say with angry tone and eyes. "Are you ok?" Jack asked looking back to Esmeralda.

Esmeralda looked up at him and nodded, "I'll be alright," she panted glancing up at him in worry, "But you shouldn't get involved, he's dangerous," she warned, she didn't want Jack to get hurt.

"Hey, seems you don't trust me." Jack joked, even in serious things he's always like that, saying jokes. "I will be fine." Jack say, he honestly wasn't sure of what he had just say he could keep his word, but he was more worried about what they could do to her and not to him, after all he is a guy like them.

Esmeralda shook her head as the man laughed, "Wow, this is the best protection you have?" he asked, mocking Jack, "You probably stand a better chance than he does," he taunted with a cruel grin indicating his friends on the ground.
Esmeralda glared at him and walked up next to Jack, "Take him on together?" she asked quietly.

Jack get angry by the comment of the man. But he looked at Esmeralda. "Don't mind." Jack say lower smiling.

Esmeralda nodded quietly, "I doubt he'll be as confident with ice underneath of him," she said as she ran up to the man, attacking him but unable to get past his guard.

Jack made a smile for her comment, when she ran, Jack throw to her his magical staff to be sure not to broke it when the fight will start. When Esmeralda was going to grab it, Jack ran with the man giving at him a kick on his face.

Esmeralda was surprised when he suddenly threw his staff to her and grabbed it reflexively before looking up in astonishment as he kicked the man. She looked at his staff in slight confusion, unsure whether to use it as a weapon or to merely hold onto it.
The man stumbled back at the blow to his face, before growling and swinging a swift upper cut towards Jack's jaw.

The man was trying to hurt Jack, Jack was avoiding it but a slight move could cut Jack abdomen but he didn't feel it at all. Jack knew that he can not die, so he get closer at the man and hit him with his fist. After making the man strumbled back, getting away from them, Jack stood next to Esmeralda. "Look. I need that you protect that." Jack say looking his staff. "And if I told you run. You run ok?" Jack say looking at her seriously, he will not allow that she will hurt or his staff broken.

Esmeralda nodded her understanding, "Alright, but be careful," she replied as she looked back towards the man warily, "If you let this bastard hurt you, I won't forgive you for making me run."

"But if he does anything to you, I will never forgive me neither. I promise you that I will protect you." Jack say kindly. "He won't hurt me." Jack say but he feel something in his stomach but he didn't care.
The other knocked men were starting to get his concicious back, they groaned in pain.

Esmeralda smiled gratefully at him, "Thank you, but let me help you, at least a little bit Jack," she said as she made her way over to the two men and kicked them viciously, knocking them out cold once more.

"See? Not bad." Jack say when she kicked smiling, Jack touch his staff and grab Esmeralda's hips. "Don't be scare." Jack whispered at her. Jack take his staff back and shot at the taller man, freezen him, from flesh to bonds.
