Irene was slightly surprised they'd decided to attack so soon, "Interesting, they're earlier than I thought they'd be."

"Eh, doesn't matter. Want them sunk out if the water?" He asked with a dark sort if glee.

Irene grinned, "I'd highly appreciate it if you would."

Blackbeard smirked and turned the ship so it would ram the other ship.

The other ship opened fire with heavy artillery as Irene looked over and pulled out her gun.

Blackbeard didn't care about the damages done to the ship. It wasn't even his. The real crew was tied up below deck. If the ship went down, they would too. He just laughed at them. The shadows around the ship started to twist and turn almost violently.

Irene barely kept the smirk off of her face when she noticed the shadows moving seemingly of their own accord. If she could get him to join with her, he would be incredibly useful indeed.

Blackbeard chuckled. He held out his hand and the shadows flew off the ship and latched onto the other ship. Suddenly loud screams filled the air. The dark glint in his eyes grew in a sick sort of delighted way.

Irene noted his sadism as a factor to be wary of, but was impressed with how well he handled the other ship. The heavy fire was decreasing as the men died.

Eventually, the ship fell silent. Blackbeard laughed wildly. "I thought they would put up more of a fight. You were worried for nothing." he replied.

Irene shrugged, well aware that that was merely a scout. "Suppose I was."

"Boys," he said. "Board the ship. Toss the bodies." He was going to take that vessel as his own. It would help disguise them from anyone else and if they sank the one they were on currently, then anyone else would think that they had lost. "Get the cargo over!"

Ireneglanced up at him, slightly surprised, "You're more clever than I gave you credit for."

"Pirate. I've only gone on this long because I'm smarter than the marines who tried to catch me." Blackbeard replied. He sat back and watched his crew work.

Irene nodded and observed his crew with him, "This should keep the others off of our track," she noted absently as she grinned, "We'll make good time."
