Esmeralda shuddered, "Well, you're going to have to wait a long damn time, I do not plan on dying today."

Death pulls out a churro and starts to eat "Maybe... maybe not" he says.

She laughed, "I don't suppose I could seduce you into letting me live?"

Esemralda felt like punching him, but refrained, "It was a joke for one thing, you bastard, for another, I'm not a damn harlot."

"Really? Going around, screwing anyone with a dick or a pussy, sounds like a harlot to me, but what do you call it 'friends with benefits'?" Death asks.

Esmeralda laughed, "No, no, your terminology is wrong, screwing around for money would make me a harlot. And I have a high respect for harlots, you have no idea how many shitty male egos they have to put up with to get a pay check... Actually, you can call me whatever you like. Your misogyny doesn't really bother me as much it might normally, probably because of the situation. But I'll refrain from stabbing you today, perhaps I'm merely feeling generous."

Death stands up and looks at her "As if you could hurt me" he says. He motions a hand as the doors open and the sound of barking is heard "Might want to hurry" he says.

Esmeralda swore and ran to slam the door shut once more, gasping in pain as the sudden harsh movements tore open the wound at her side once more. "Damn you, you fucking bastard!" She muttered as she quickly locked the door, knocking over some bookshelves nearby to help act as a barricade and grunting in pain at the effort.

The zombies and dogs keep barking and banging on the door "Bastard? Well that's the fifty-eighth time I've heard that" he says.

"Fucking hell!" she swore as she ran to the nurses office, finding a bag and throwing some needle and medical thread inside as she took along the disinfectant and as many bandages as she could stuff inside. She quickly took the first aid kit as well, before throwing the bag over her back and grunting in pain as it hit her injured side. She ran, limping all the way, each breath painful and rasping, to the other side of the school and saw what looked to be a multilevel building relatively close by. If she could get inside and barricade the door, she thought she might have a chance.

Inside were lights as survivors helped Esmerelda inside. Seemed about to be thirty people in total including her as some medical experts help patch her up and all the while Death roams amongst them, but invisible to them. Only Esmerelda he allows to see him as he sits on a crate.

Esmeralda winced as they threaded the needle through her skin, stitching her wound. She passed out from the pain twice before they were finished with her and had bandaged her wounds once more. She slowly got up, to make room for the next person who needed it, before finding the only real empty space on the floor was close the crate where Death resided. She slowly made her way over to him and laid down on the floor underneath of him, no longer caring.

"Quite a group here. I'm a bit surprised how they don't crawl eachother to pieces on the instinct to survive and work together, must be an insect thing" he says.

Esmeralda looked up at him and spoke softly so no one else could hear, "It is, chances to survive increase with the more skills you have access to. Thus the more people the better. Though, it does have its drawbacks, it's still a better option than trying to survive alone."
