Naruto raised an eyebrow curious about something that he hadn't quite asked her yet. "Hey Hinata why did you grow your hair longer? When I left the village to train I saw you had short hair. I'm just wondering why you grew your hair."

Naruto grinned as he looked at Hinata then back to himself. "Other then my height I haven't really changed that much. Heh, I guess it was mostly luck I made my very own jutsu and mastered Sage mode." He chuckled putting his hands behind his head.

(At some point after Naruto fights Pain. So it's a little after that fight and he remembers her cinfession.)
Naruto then remembered something he should have asked her a long time aga=o. He looked down and sighed slightly nervous. "Hinata.....I have to ask. Why me?"

Naruto looked at her slightly serious and slightly confused. "Why do you love me? I mean you are the heiress to the Hyuga clan. You're beautiful enough to get any guy you wanted. Why fall for a loser like me? I'm not smart. I fail at almost everything I do when it matters. Sasuke is a prime example of that."

Hinata blushed darkly, the reddest she had ever turned around him. "B-Because... I-I just do," Hinata defended. "A-And y-you're the only one w-who ever believed i-in me. I-I s-strove to be d-different because you m-made me think I c-could." She left out the part about how she had a crush on him since they were genin or that she thought he was very attractive. "B-But you l-like Sakura..."

Naruto sighed as he put his hands together and shook his head. "I thought I did but I really don't. I mean when we were younger yeah I liked her but she only showed affection to Sasuke. I mean later when she said to me she loved me it wasn't happiness I felt but rather dissapointment. She said it to get me to stop trying to bring Sasuke back. Now I don't know who to like or not." He sighed in confusion as he sat there looking down.

Hinata hesitated before she put her hand on Naruto's. "I-I meant what I said." she said, slowly losing her stammer since she wasn't so nervous anymore.

Naruto couldn't help but smile at her as he looked at her beautiful face. He wanted to try something but he wasn't true if she go along or faint if he did try. "Hinata....I want to be sure. May.....maybe.....k-k-kiss you." He blushed looking down.
