Tifa woke a little before dawn. Naruto was still out. She laughed and sat up, wincing at the popping in her back. All seemed calm until she heard a breathless cry outside in the woods. Alarm shot through Tifa. Someone was out there and they could be in trouble. "Naruto, get up!"

Naruto sat up from the floor rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Before he could ask what was up he heard a cry and thought it sounded familiar. He immediately shot up and ran out of the tent Shadow following close. Naruto tightented his headband as he ran out.

Tifa chased after him. She grabbed the pick ax on her way out.
Not far off Hinata was stumbling away from a walker. She had found it eating another person and they had both chased after her but because she had thrown her Kunai at everything except their heads they kept coming after her.

Naruto jumped from tree to tree to follow the cry. His eyes widened when he saw a friend he hadn't seen in a while being chased. He growled pissed that walkers were after his friend. He jumped off the tree making the hand sign making shadow clones. "LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!" All the Narutos charged right at them and attacking the walkers and smashing their heads.

Tifa caught Hinata and held her close, even as the nin started to panic. "You're okay. Shhh... It's okay.." Tifa soothed.
Hinata looked up at Tifa fearfully. The older woman just smiled.
((I just checked the she difference between Naruto and Tifa. He was going after an older woman! By six years! He's not technically legal to her!))

(Heh he doesn't think much. He's the number one knuckle head for a reason.)
Naruto and his clones continued their assult on the walkers. Two making one giant Rasengan and finishing the horde. Naruto let his clones disappear as he stood there tired from the fighting. He didn't notice one slowly getting up from behind and walking right towards him.

Tifa's eyes widened. She swung Hinata to the side and embedded her pick ax in the walker's head. "You always miss the last one." She sighed.
Hinata looked between them, completely baffled.

Naruto looked over to Tifa and gave a grin at her putting his hands behind his head. "Heh I thought I did get that one." zhe looked over to Hinata and went over to her looking at her in concern. "Hinata are you okay?" He looked at her to see if she was bitten.

Hinata went red in the face. She shyly averted her eyes from Naruto. "I-I'm o-okay." She stammered.
Tifa raised a brow and looked between them. "You know her?" Tifa asked.

Naruto looks at Tifa with a nod and grin on his face. "We're comerades from the same village and she's a really good friend of mine. Tifa this is Hinata." He smiled as he looked over to see Shadow lick her hand. Naruto chuckled as he looked at Hinata. "Hinata this is my friend Tifa and the little puppy is Shadow."

Tifa smiled. She wrenched the ax out of the walker's head and the body hit the ground. Hinata flinched.
"It's nice to meet you Hinata," Tifa said.

Naruto looked over to see the small puppy Shadow crawl on Hinatas lap. "Hey he likes you." He grinned as he pet Shadows head and rubs it.

Hinata blushed darkly. Tifa looked between the two. Something clicked in her mind. Naruto latched into her because she looked like Hinata, albeit an older version of the younger woman.

Naruto laughed a little as he picked up Shadow in his hands. "Same old Hinata so weird but fun. I better start building the tree house. Come on Shadow." He grinned running with Shadow back to the tree to start building.

Hinata visably deflated. Tifa smiled sadly. She helped the younger woman to her feet.
