Naruto nods as he took off his orange and black jacket and held it towards her. "Thanks Tifa." He sighed slightly as he took a seat on the floor crossing his legs.

Tifa sat across from him once she found the thread. She focused on repairing the jacket instead of looking at him. "Have I ever told you about my frined Vincent Valentine?" Tifa inquired.

Naruto looked up at her confused and shook his head looking at her. "No I don't think you have. Why?" He rubs his arms feeling a little chlly without his jacket.

"There's a blanket on the crate over there," Tifa said as she gestured over to the crate. She threaded the needle and started to sew the sleeve back together. "Vincent could do something like you did. He was an experiment of a man named Hojo. He could turn into different... creatures when the circumstances were right but he was still himself when it would happen. So what happened with the walkers, that doesn't bother me."

Naruto grabbed the blanket and put it around himself. "Yeah well I have a demon inside of me and I can't control it when I am angry. I start to lose myself the more it takes over. You're lucky I only got to three tails getting control again. It could have been a lot worse. But I'm pretty sure where you're going right now." He looked away from her looking at the ground.

"Going?" Tifa asked in surprise, looking up and pausing in her sewing. "Why would I go? Vincent had problems with his inner demons too. Naruto, that could have been much worse. We could have gotten bitten or worse."

Naruto sighed a little as he looked down. "Who am I kidding? I messed things up before the walkers came. Thinking maybe I had a chance to be more then friends with you. Heh me the loser and monster thinking he can find love in his life for the very first time." He sniffed rubbing his eyes.

"Naruto, it's not like that." Tifa said. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She set aside his jacket before she scooted closer to him. She took both of his hands in hers. "I might... not love you the way you want me to, but I don't want this to ruin our relationship."

Naruto took his hands away and turned away from her. "I think it already has. I mean I never knew what love was to start from growing up. I never had parents and everyone in my village hated me for the demon inside me. I grew up loveless and lonely. Seeing you makes me smile and all the feelings inside me stir. But now maybe those were bad from the start. Maybe I should stay loveless." He sighed looking down.

"Naruto, don't talk like that." Tifa scolded. "Just because I don't love you right now doesn't mean I can't ever love you. I just... I had bad relationship before I met you." She looked down at their hands as she thought about Cloud.

Naruto gave a small snort as he looked away from her. "Right. You're only saying that to make me feel better. What would poesses you to fall in love with a guy like me?" He closed his eyes not daring to look at her.

"You're kind," Tifa said. "You make me laugh. You risked your life to save me and that Melody girl. And I think you're sweet. Plus, if you knew the last guy, then you would know you are a better person by far." Tifa let go of his hand and reached up to touch his face.

"I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it." Tifa responded. Her expression softened when she saw the look of hope in his eyes and it hurt her that such a small confirmation meant so much to him.

Naruto sighed a little as he put her hands off his face and looked at her. "I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable with me. I just couldn't hold back anymore. I'm not expecting anything from you if you don't return my feelings. I'd just have to live with it." He gave a small smile at her.
