Tifa stayed up most of the night. All she felt was guilt. She wasn't sure her feelings for Naruto and if they turned out not to match his, he would have a broken heart. The survivalist part of her, a darker part she wished she didn't have, told her to fake it as long as she needed to until it was real but the part of her who had suffered that said to put some distance between the two of them to figure this out.

When it was 5 in the morning Naruto woke up not able to sleep anymore. He sighed a little as he sat up rubbing his eyes. He looked at Tifa before getting up. "You can go sleep. I'll take watch." He sat down on the floor his arms crossed.
